As is true of many Houstonians, Millie is an immigrant. She has been a proud Houstonian for nearly 20 years since moving from her native Serbia after being awarded a volleyball scholarship to Houston Baptist University. It was at HBU that she worked to earn dual Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in accounting while playing on the team. Millie is fluent in Serbo-Croatian in addition to English. She’s active in Houston’s Serbian community and attends the Serbian Orthodox Church and SKUD Zavicaj, the city’s largest organization for practicing and promoting traditional Serbian folklore. Millie is dedicated to her family above all else. Millie is a passionate swim mom with two daughters. Her family has made the Energy Corridor/Memorial area of Houston their home.
